    Flight Operations Division

     

    The Flight Operations Division at Delta Air

    Lines,

    Inc. has a mission to operate

    customer expectations. We are a team of

    aviation professionals supporting 17,000+ pilots.

     

    Flight Ops Technology Department

     

    The department assists the entire Flight

    Operations Division through advancing technology applications and initiatives

    to drive the division’s mission. The

    team also evaluates current work processes to identify and recommend business

    opportunities. Finally, the team supports

    technology solutions that align with senior leadership’s strategy to

    continuously improve the line pilot experience.

     

    The Project Development Office

     

    Within the Flight Ops Technology department,

    the Co-Op team works within the Project Development Office (PDO) with two

    full-time employees. The purpose of the PDO is to create value by assisting

    Flight Ops stakeholders achieve business goals. We do this by helping them navigate

    the technology development process through the agile ecosystem, spanning from intake

    to approval to execution. Additionally, we provide consulting services that

    focus on cost savings and process improvements.

    Another responsibility for the PDO is Change Management, a framework in

    Flight Ops to enhance the visibility of change efforts, and to enable tracking

    and reporting. This position is a Business Analyst-type role which will focus

    on Internal Consulting, Technology Development, and Change Management.

    Co-Op Job Summary

    + The Co-Op will work at Delta's World Headquarters inAtlanta, Georgia. This is a paid position, including additional privileges suchas standby travel anywhere in the Delta system while off duty.

    + The team currently operates on a hybrid schedule(i.e., in-person for 4 days on campus with one day each week working virtually).

    + The Co-Op will have exposure to other departmentswithin Flight Operations, including but not limited to: Flight Training, Flight Standards, FlyingOperations, Line Operations, Crew Resources & Scheduling, Pilot Hiring& Development, and Simulator Support…to learn about Flight Operations, theindustry and gain valuable life experience.

    + The position requires three alternating semesters of full-timework at Delta with full-time study (1 semester will be summer).

    + We are seeking qualified, motivated individuals looking for anexceptional opportunity.

    Co-Op Job Responsibilities

    + Actively participate in team activities that aim toholistically develop Co-Ops

    + Partner with stakeholders in a Business Analyst type role

    + Will partner with multiple divisional stakeholders to defineprocess improvement opportunities, assist with development and maturation ofrecommended solutions

    + Will define Change Management business/process improvement opportunities,assist with the development and maturation of recommended Change Management solutions,and implement Change Management initiative tracking methodologies

    + Support Delta’s global innovation initiative throughapplications of creative design concepts to evolve stakeholder approaches toproblem and solution design

    + Develop and implement feedback analysis using basic surveyand statistics methodologies

    + Support project leaders on technology programs with externalvendors and Information Technology teams to identify and troubleshoot issues,develop solutions, and implement resolutions in a timely manner to minimizeimpact to the operation

    + Think, design, and create innovative solutions to supportproject teams in improving the pilot work experience

    What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

    + Workingas a Co-op does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation. Thisposition is intended to provide you with educational, and professional workexperience to prepare you for the workforce.

    + Thisposition requires you to work for 3 alternating semesters. You cannot activelytake any courses (inclusive of online or in-person) and work as a Co-op at thesame time, which may delay your graduation by 1-2 semesters.

    + Rotations:Spring 2026, Fall 2026, Summer 2027

    + Pursuingan undergraduate degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration (InformationTechnology Management), Industrial Engineering, or similar degree withapplicable skills

    + Teamplayer that fosters trust, open dialogue, and healthy conflict with coworkers

    + Stronginterpersonal skills and servant leadership required to promote intentionalrelationships

    + Preferablya rising Sophomore or rising Junior, as you are required to work 3 terms

    + Smartsheetand PowerBi experience preferred

    + Strongorganizational and time management skills required

    + Internallymotivated, curious, ready to learn, and eager to make an impact

    + Abilityto work under tight deadlines and time constraints while being able to manageand prioritize multiple project requests conjointly

    + ProjectManagement experience is a plus (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

    + Experiencewith business cases, process mapping, and database management is a plus
