WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As the Senior Customs Apparel Specialist – you will be responsible for Nike apparel classification and compliance. Able to prioritize high-volume workflow requests from Nike’s internal and external partners. Meet key deliverables, with collaborative team focus, and a bias for action. The Sr. Specialist will help ignite our winning culture, ensure operational excellence and elevate our high-performing championship team.
+ Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.
+ 3 to 5 years of experience in U.S. trade import or brokerage operations, customs compliance, supply chain, or a similar role in medium to large companies.
+ Subject matter competency on U.S. import apparel requirements, USHTS apparel classification, U.S. Import regulations, supply chain logistics.
+ US Customs Brokerage License or willingness to obtain.
+ Able to deliver presentations, facilitate meetings and communicate complex trade conditions concisely and comprehensively.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As a Senior Customs Apparel Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Nike's compliance with U.S. Customs regulations, driving operational excellence, and contributing to the success of our apparel products. You’ll contribute strategic solutions to optimize product classification, trade compliance, and facilitate U.S Customs imports. Your efforts will impact the critical work related to becoming the apparel tariff classification expert, broker engagement, the development of others, and other trade specific assignments.
+ Enter and review product attributes to determine apparel characteristics for accurate classification and duty rates
+ Update policy and procedure documentation for various apparel-related functions
+ Lead trade-specific insights to drive compliance and operational efficiency across apparel, CTPAT, and related projects
+ Engage with development teams on apparel duties and product reviews
+ Correspond with and resolve requests from U.S. Customs, the Department of Labor, and other government agencies
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to provide input and test process improvements, systems, and integrations
