    Basic Job Functions:

    Collect, manage and analyze corporate-wide environmental and sustainability data. Evaluate and develop a long-term program to simplify annual corporate wide data collection and computation process for environmental data including compliance data and greenhouse gas emissions. Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. Evaluate existing data collection software to identify improvement opportunities and evaluate/implement new software if necessary. Assist in preparation of sustainability reporting metrics such as Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), Greenhouse Gas (GHG) mandatory reporting, and investor required disclosures. Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. Visualize, interpret, and report data findings. Compare models using statistical performance metrics, such as loss functions or proportion of explained variance. Prepare monthly environmental key performance indicator reports. Interface with third-party data software providers to provide internal software support and coordinate required software changes. Create and analyze various facility data and other ad-hoc report needs. Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Document end user support materials as well as solution articles and video training content. Assist with other environmental group efforts such as auditing and data collection support. Develop machine learning and AI projects for the steel mills, including prediction and image recognition. Assist with some ad-hoc data analysis projects, like visualizing air quality monitoring data and production data using PowerBI. Assist with statistical analysis on production data for facilities. Utilize ETL tools, like Python or Alteryx to do data clean up and analysis

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Must have a Masters degree in Applied Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence Engineering or a directly related data analytics field. Skills may be gained through coursework or relevant work experience. Master's degree coursework must include Engineering Mechanics, Systems Tool Chain Artificial Intelligence, Fluid Mechanics, and Climate Change Adaptation. Must submit resume and transcripts. Skills required: Utilizing Business Intelligence tools, including Microsoft Power BI to generate complex data reporting and visualization of ESG analytics; Designing, developing and maintaining extract, transform, load (ETL) processes using industry ETL tools such as Alteryx, Python or R; Driving predictive analytics utilizing artificial intelligence tools including machine learning and deep learning algorithms (Python and Azure AI); Creating advanced calculations and data manipulations in Power BI and manage large datasets within Databricks; and Building and optimizing bit data pipelines, architectures and data sets, and implementing data ingestion routines. Domestic travel required (up to 30-40%).
