*Position Summary:*Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is seeking a full time Supervisor of Emergency Services. This is a working supervisor role and will include hands-on patient care at times.

The successful incumbent will have the ability to assess a variety of complex situations and determine the most effective means to resolve situations. This role is responsible for setting the climate for cooperation between co-workers and shifts for a smooth-running operation and requires leadership skills that could impact the patient outcome.

Additional responsibilities include:

* Coordinating educational programs for ED staff to maintain standards of Emergency Department staff.

* Monitoring ED metrics and working with staff to improve processes to meet targets and improve patient flow.

* Demonstrating effective leadership skills in decision making, problem solving and interpersonal relations with staff and physicians.

* Assisting the ED Director with hiring, discipline, personnel issues, investigations and staffing.

*Minimum Qualifications:*

* Education: Associate’s degree in nursing, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

* Experience: Previous experience in an acute care setting.

* Licenses/Certifications:

o License: Nevada RN license required.

o Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) upon hire. TNCC within 3 months of hire.
