    General Description: Supervise, evaluate and direct personnel in performing operations according to sound operating principles and company policies and procedures. Stimulate maximum efficiency and productivity of rendering employees and ensure proper training of employees. Anticipate and determine causes of delays in operations and take appropriate actions to meet schedules. Apply Company employee relations policies in all dealings with employees. Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient production. Arrange to have appropriate records prepared and maintained (i.e., payroll, vacations, orders, weights). Arrange for trucks and railroad cars to be filled with appropriate product when scheduled and complete necessary paperwork. Work closely with other Supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork in each department and in plant facility.

    Required skills:

    + Be able to communicate written and verbally in English

    + Be able to work all 3 shifts as needed

    + Heavy lifting required

    + Able to work in both hot and cold temperatures

    + Strong communication and leadership skills ability to handle conflict

    + Self Motivated/ High Sense of urgency

    + Able to perform under High Stress situations

    + Prior Supervisory experience highly recommended

    + Extensive knowledge and technical skill of rendering facility

    + Good mechanical aptitude

    + Work 40+ hours per week in rendering facilities

    + Attend meetings as scheduled or called

    + Perform various other duties as needed or assigned

    Education Requirements (if applicable)

    + High school diploma or equivalent
