Description
We are looking for an Assistant Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and repair operations across our facilities in Irving, TX. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can ensure the safety, functionality, and readiness of the physical environment. The ideal candidate is capable of managing multiple projects, collaborating effectively with teams, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and execute maintenance and repair tasks across various facilities to ensure operational continuity.
• Monitor and maintain critical equipment such as exhaust fans, compressed air systems, cranes, elevators, and security devices.
• Perform preventative maintenance on facility systems, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical components.
• Ensure fire, life, and safety equipment remains operational, scheduling vendor repairs as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards to ensure facilities are always presentable.
• Support machine movements, setups, and teardowns in collaboration with service teams.
• Assist trades workers within designated facility areas, offering hands-on support as needed.
• Manage vendor accounts, including workflows and invoicing, while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
• Operate forklifts, man-lifts, and other equipment to support facility operations.
• Perform additional tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and minor repairs across carpentry, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
Requirements • A minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities management or a related field.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrated professionalism when interacting with employees, vendors, contractors, and customers.
• Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and changing needs.
• Certification or the ability to obtain certification for operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
• Proven organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and practices.
• Familiarity with mechanical systems, industrial buildings, and commercial building operations.
