    Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Assistant to join our team in the construction industry. This position is ideal for recent graduates with a degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field who are looking to develop their career in payroll and compliance. The successful candidate will assist with payroll processing, prevailing wage compliance, and other administrative tasks to ensure accuracy and adherence to industry standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Support payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

    + Assist with prevailing wage tracking and reporting, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations

    + Maintain and update payroll records, databases, and documentation

    + Verify timesheets and reconcile payroll variances

    + Provide administrative support related to payroll audits and compliance checks

    + Address employee payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner

    + Collaborate with team members to streamline payroll processes and enhance efficiency

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field

    + Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic knowledge of payroll software

    + Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines

    + Effective communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
