Description
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Systems Engineer to join our growing IT team. This role is essential to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, virtualization platforms, and cloud-based systems. You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure environments that support our core business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Design, implement, and manage server infrastructure, both physical and virtual (VMware, Hyper-V).
+ Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers.
+ Monitor system performance, availability, and security using tools such as Nagios, SolarWinds, or similar.
+ Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other core services.
+ Support cloud integrations and hybrid environments (Azure or AWS).
+ Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
+ Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure system integrity and protection.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues, applying root cause analysis for long-term fixes.
+ Create and maintain detailed documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
+ 3–5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role.
+ Strong experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and/or Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu).
+ Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V).
+ Solid understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
+ Familiarity with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
+ Experience with system monitoring and management tools.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS infrastructure services.
+ Familiarity with Office 365, Exchange Online, and Intune.
+ Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
+ Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Server+, Azure Administrator Associate).
