About this Role

Initially, this position would be on a project inCameron, LAbut this position would need to be able to travel.

As a Primavera P6 Planner you own the Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule—building the baseline, keeping it current, and turning raw field data into clear insight so crews and stakeholders can act decisively. The majority of your time is spent in the trailer/office working in P6; the balance is spent walking the jobsite to verify progress and constraints.

What You'll Do

+ Plan & Baseline

+ Translate estimates and drawings into a logic-linked CPM schedule in Primavera P6

+ Load labor, equipment, and cost resources for earned-value tracking

+ Facilitate pull-planning sessions with superintendents and subcontractors

+ Execution & Updates

+ Collect daily quantities; update actuals, % complete, and remaining durations

+ Issue three-week look-ahead reports and annotated Gantt charts

+ Monitor float, critical path shifts, and resource histograms; flag variances early

+ Analysis & Controls

+ Run “what-if” scenarios and recovery schedules

+ Conduct time-impact analyses (TIAs) for change events

+ Integrate schedule data with cost reports and produce S-curves, dashboards

+ Close-Out

+ Compile the as-built schedule and delay narrative

+ Archive calendars, coding structures, and backups per company standards

What You'll Bring

+ Minimum of a High-school diploma required

+ Primavera P6, Construction Management or Project Controls coursework/certification preferred

+ Minimum of 3+ years of scheduling heavy-civil, rail, or industrial projects

+ Strong Primavera P6 skills (layouts, global change, resource/cost loading), CPM theory, MS Excel

+ Facilitates meetings, communicates schedule impacts to all levels

+ OSHA 30 & TWIC (or ability to obtain); able to traverse large outdoor sites in Gulf Coast climate
