    Job Description

    Finger Lakes Health is offering 13-week internal agency contracts, to experienced Surgical Technologists.

     

    Must have extensive experience with Ortho and Eyes.

     

    Shift: Day Shift (any shift between 7 am – 5:30 pm) typically 9.5-hour shifts.

     

    Call: Weekends and Off Shift

     

    Experience: Must have at least 3 years’ experience working as a Certified Surgical Technologist or an LPN trained in Surgical Technology. Must have experience in Ortho and Eyes. Demonstrates ability to provide quality patient care. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the people in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.

     

    Education: Completion of Surgical Tech Program or Evidence of NYS Dept of Health Exemption (1-year cumulative experience between January 1, 2011-January 1, 2015) or Active NYS LPN license.

     

    Licensure and Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Certification as Surgical Technologist (required for Surgical Tech Program Graduates without the Evidence of Exemption) or Current NYS Licensed Pratical Nurse. Crisis Prevention Certification.

     

    Hourly Rate Based on Experience: $40.00-$45.00
