Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
+ 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
+ 3 years of experience building tools that improve development velocity, code quality, or code health.
+ 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
+ Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
+ 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers to build and maintain the core infrastructure and tools that ensure new products launch smoothly and work as planned. You will make engineers more efficient and ensure top-notch quality by providing these essential systems. You will create the systems needed for thorough launch verification of critical products, and build the automation and tools that deliver a smooth experience for developers. You will be a technical leader, helping your team grow, and working closely with other teams to speed up how products are built, tested, and released.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. + Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers to deliver high-quality tools and infrastructure that enhance engineering productivity and launch success.
+ Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product Strategy and Support (PSS) leads to identify and implement horizontal tooling solutions.
+ Provide technical leadership and navigate ambiguous challenges, guiding the team toward effective solutions.
+ Oversee the development of critical tooling and infrastructure that accelerates product development, testing, and release cycles.
