• Concrete Superintendent

    Southland Holdings is accepting resumes for highly motivated professionals to join our team as a Concrete Superintendent in Gresham, OR. This is an experienced role requiring 7-10 years of experience.

    Responsibilities:

    + Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain workflow and resolve issues.

    + Must understand basic concrete principles such as concrete mix designs, admixtures, curing, cold and hot weather procedures for concrete placing and finishing, formwork systems, and etc. as well as concrete calculations for pours. Monitor and enforce compliance with project specifications, drawings, and safety regulations.

    + Develops project plan along with Project Manager and drives project milestones

    + Provides day-to-day direction on-site to project resources and ensures the project teams are provided the resources and support that enable the teams to reach their goals

    + Ensures effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project

    Qualifications:

    + 7-10 years of concrete construction experience.

    + Proven leadership in managing large-scale pipeline projects.

    + Strong knowledge of concrete techniques, equipment, and safety practices.

    + Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

    + Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

    + Must have working knowledge of common MS office programs

    + Willingness to work long hours

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering

     

    Relevant experience can waive degree.
