URGENT: Sr. Process Engineer
Job Description
The Sr. Process Engineer is responsible for driving technological and process improvements, implementing new products and processes, and enhancing productivity while reducing customer complaints and costs. This role involves coordinating the implementation of new capital manufacturing equipment and processes to optimize production and increase capacity, as well as improving scrap reduction, quality levels, and process optimization. The ideal candidate will have experience in extrusion and medical tubing, and will work extensively in a Class 7 clean room, focusing on validation and process setup.
Responsibilities
+ Evaluate, implement, and monitor processes and operating systems for the manufacture of flexible packaging products.
+ Drive global projects, including identifying and sourcing capital needs to achieve best-in-class technology and processing.
+ Perform cost improvement and quality improvement projects to support manufacturing goals and reduce cost of goods sold (COGS).
+ Define and manage project activities for the commercial release of new products and corresponding manufacturing processes.
+ Collaborate with site operations leadership to identify and resolve technical systemic challenges and support commercial solutions.
+ Act as a conduit to the commercial team to determine product requirements for new opportunities, including quote support regarding cost structures and milestone timelines.
+ Manage major validation efforts by scoping master validation plans and executing complex validation requirements.
+ Translate customer needs into quantifiable critical-to-quality (CTQs) metrics to scope projects and create actionable plans to meet customer requirements.
+ Apply risk management best practices to the development process.
+ Collaborate and communicate effectively in a cross-functional organization, using strong presentation skills to present technical information.
Essential Skills
+ Expertise in tubing, process engineering, plastics extrusion, and extrusion process.
+ Experience with PVC tubing extrusion and medical equipment.
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.
+ Industry experience in polymer extrusion and converting.
+ Familiarity with Polyolefin materials and ability to recommend different material families based on application.
+ Understanding of flexographic printing processes, including inks, plate materials, diluents, and drying.
+ Demonstrated ability to apply tools within Project Management, Design of Experiment, Design for Lean Six Sigma, and Statistical Analysis.
+ Effective communication skills to convey project expectations to team members and stakeholders.

Work Environment
The Sr. Process Engineer will work primarily in a Class 7 clean room environment, utilizing advanced technologies and equipment to perform validations and set up processes. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences. The role demands adaptability and resourcefulness in a dynamic manufacturing setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $57.69/hr.
