About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced **Senior Accountant** to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the Hawaii accounting department, including month-end and year-end close processes, general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Support the Assistant Accounting Manager with Accounts Receivable oversight

+ Support the Accounts Payable Manager

+ Manage the month-end and year-end close processes

+ Assist with cash management

+ Supervise and mentor junior accountants or accounting staff

+ Support audits (internal and external) by providing necessary documentation and responses

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and relevant laws and regulations

+ Monitor and improve internal controls and accounting procedures

+ Collaborate cross-functionally with departments to support financial decision-making

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience

+ Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting

+ Proficient in accounting software Sage Intacct and Titanium

+ Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling)

+ Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

+ Strong communication and organizational abilities

+ Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

+ CPA or CMA certification

+ Experience in Construction, Federal Contracts and Sage Intacct

+ Familiarity with ERP systems and automation tools
