    Job Description Summary:

    Responsible for the overall coordination of leasing (as tenant and as landlord) for Ohio Health and related entities. The Director of Leasing and Strategy will serve as the leader on real estate leasing matters and will work with executives to develop and implement real estate strategies consistent with business requirements and operational needs.

    Responsibilities And Duties:

    Manage team responsible for the negotiation of leases for OH and related entities (lease acquisitions, renewal options, subleases, timeshares, etc.)

     

    Coordinate with external brokers, internal leasing agents, OH legal and outside counsel on negotiating new agreements and to resolve all issues that arise during document negotiations and drafting.

     

    Regularly attend and participate in leasing, certain facility management related meetings and project management meetings with senior level management across the system.

     

    Make recommendations and preferred courses of action pertinent to providing the best occupancy solution for OH and related entities.

     

    Act as main point of contact for Landlords, Property Managers and other relevant parties for leasing and management related matters.

     

    Review cost and productivity analyses as it relates to facilities leasing. Advise and make recommendations regarding budgets, costs and other financial matters.

     

    Present real estate proposals for executive review and approval, which includes financial analysis and market commentary.

     

    Represent OH to relevant external governmental agencies, vendors and other organizations and groups. Represent OH by membership in related professional organizations.

     

    Ensure leasing activities are compliant with OH local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations; including, but not limited to: STARK other applicable regulatory agency and legal requirements necessary for medical practice management.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree

    Additional Job Description:

    SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

    Thorough technical skills in assigned areas, knowledge of all applicable leasing processes and documents.

     

    Strong financial acumen and experience in brokerage, real estate deals, financial status reports, and prospecting for potential tenants.

     

    Broad knowledge of commercial real estate and/or healthcare real estate, including fiscal management processes and standards and rules and regulations.

     

    Experience in commercial real estate and/or leasing or; and 5 -7 years of progressive management experience.
