**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, starting between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM (9–11 hour shifts, overtime as needed)

Murrey’s Disposal, a trusted name in environmental services and a proud member of the Waste Connections family, is seeking a **skilled and safety-focused Equipment Operator** to join our **Transfer Station team in Fife, WA** . This is a hands-on, outdoor role where you’ll operate heavy equipment to support essential waste management operations that serve the local community.

Key Responsibilities

+ Operate heavy equipment including:

+ Grizzly excavator

+ Skid steer

+ Yard goat (for hosteling trailers)

+ Forklift

+ Load and unload materials efficiently and safely

+ Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform minor maintenance

+ Direct traffic flow within the transfer station to ensure safety

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment

+ Monitor site conditions and report any safety concerns

+ Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals

+ Accurately document equipment usage, incidents, and site conditions

+ Provide courteous and professional service to truck drivers and visitors

Qualifications

+ Prior experience operating heavy equipment (required)

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

+ Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

+ Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail

+ Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

+ Must be able to speak and understand English for safety purposes; Spanish is a plus

+ Ability to work in environments with dust, noise, and odors typical of a transfer station
