    The Advising and Career Development Center (ACDC) is pleased to announce we are accepting applications for a Career Coach. ACDC's mission is to assist students and alumni in both identifying and reaching their career and employment goals, help employers access an educated and highly trained workforce, and support faculty and staff in providing opportunities to increase student learning and skill development to meet the demands of an ever-changing work environment. This position reports to the Associate Director for Career Development.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Provide career coaching to students and alumni through career exploration, job search guidance, resume and portfolio review, mock interviews, and soft skill development

    + Provide coaching services to students and alumni through individualized appointments, group counseling sessions, presentations, and workshops

    + Assist with the planning and execution of on-campus career fairs

    + Assess student career aptitude and review career exploration inventory results to determine and discuss potential academic major and career opportunities

    + Assist students in locating co-op experiences, internship experiences, or other experiential learning opportunities, as well as part-time/full-time employment or graduate school opportunities upon graduation

    + Create and present presentations and workshops for various student and faculty groups

    + Attend on-campus events and programmatic initiatives, which will occasionally involve evening and weekend work hours

    + Attend meetings and trainings, communicate opportunities for departmental growth, and assist with departmental, divisional, and university programming initiatives and events

    + Collaborate with academic advisors to deliver service to students who express career concerns during advising appointments

    + Partner with deans, department heads, and individual faculty to develop reoccurring service delivery plans and marketing strategies

    + Implement strategies to enhance collaborations with academic partners to meet student and alumni career development needs

    Job Requirements:

    + Earned Bachelor's degree by position start date

    + Prior work experience

    + Ability to work some evening and weekend hours

    Additional Information:

    Salary: $36,000
