    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Sets day-to-day objectives, organizes workflow, provides guidance, and supports goal attainment for production workers at the manufacturing facility. Provides a safe working environment, while ensuring the quality and productivity requirements are met. Communicates company objectives and plans work. Seeks continuous improvement opportunities.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    • Organizes, assigns, schedules, develops, counsels, trains and leads workforce on daily basis to obtain safety, quality, and productivity requirements.

    • Coordinates with support departments, plans daily activity, and directs hourly teammates to the completion of assigned tasks.

    • Monitor, analyze, and countermeasure quality-related problems; provide training and retraining to teammates as needed, ensuring proper development of teammates skills and training needs through daily monitoring and follow up.

    • Makes decisions on the acceptability of questionable product following standard practice guidelines.

    • Promotes quality awareness in the department with feedback to teammates using personal contact with conspicuous standards.

    • Investigates, countermeasures, and directs maintenance teammates in repair to equipment related quality problems.

    • Analyzes problems affecting teammates morale.

    • Monitors analyze and maintain teammates records for uniformity in the application of company guidelines and policy relating to time keeping, attendance, and counseling.

    • Investigates and answers teammates corrective action issues and participates in the counseling meetings.

    • Promotes safety awareness daily and interacts with support groups to correct safety problems.

    • Assists in developing and controlling department budget by monitoring and analyzing production performances.

    WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

    • 9+ years progressive responsibility in manufacturing/warehouse/distribution center environment including at least 2 years supervisory experience

    OR

    • 2-year associate degree in related field + 7 years progressive responsibility in manufacturing/warehouse/distribution center environment including at least 2 years of supervisory experience

    OR

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field and 5 years progressive responsibility in manufacturing/warehouse/distribution center environment including at least 1 year of supervisory experience (preferred)

    WWORKING CONDITIONS

    Work area includes heavy machinery, forklifts, and requires walking long distances on a daily basis. Works in noisy areas with extreme heat and cold temperatures.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Position requires extended period of time to communicate, walk, lift, stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, twist in office and production areas.
