Job purpose
The HR team’s purpose is to enable the execution of our business strategy. The Manager, HR Business Partnership works in close connection with the business and provides strategic partnership. This teammate provides HR leadership for our Prescott, AR manufacturing plant. We are looking for an HR professional with the ability to drive collaboration and build and maintain positive working relationships with a variety of internal customers. This teammate has a passion for people, builds strong relationships, and engages with teammates at all levels of the organization. This teammate will participate as a member of the site leadership team, offering support to ensure we have a safe and engaged teammate population.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
• Ensure HR focus is to support the business operations and prepare the team for growth. The business experience with HR should be best in class regardless of the individual representing the team.
• Act as strategic partner to site leaders, partnering to drive teammate engagement and teammate development opportunities
• Foster a collaborative relationship between management and union representatives, addressing employee concerns, and promoting a positive workplace culture that respects collective bargaining agreements.
• Serve as the primary liaison between management and union representatives. Collaborate with union leadership on contract negotiations, grievance processes, and other union-related matters. Facilitate communication and resolve issues between employees and management regarding union contracts.
• Evaluate and provide development opportunities to each HR team member
• Partner with Corporate HR teams to ensure that local HR voices and all front line teammates are represented in all policy and program discussions, including, Employee Engagement and L&D
• Leverage standardized field Onboarding Program for plant/ DC teammates
• Build effective partnership between HRBP team and TA team, drive opportunities for efficiency that provides a higher service level to the business with lower days to fill
• Own Prescott HR KPIs, share monthly with site leadership team and align on actions for improvement
• Ensure team remains up to date and the company operates in compliance with all labor laws
• Provide local team with guidance and support through difficult employee communications; ensure standardized consequence management
• Identifies opportunities to improve/change processes; partners with other business areas as needed (TA Partners, Safety, Payroll, Ops, etc.)
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or HR certification preferred).
• Proven experience as an HR Manager in a unionized environment (typically 5+ years).
• In-depth knowledge of labor laws, union agreements, and HR best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with union representatives.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Strong Leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Conflict resolution and negotiation skills, particularly in a union context.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in HR software
