    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Amrize, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Equipment Operator to support operations at the Rappahanock Farms Quarry location in King George, VA. This position will be responsible for operating and configuring multiple equipment. Also ensure that the machine works at its full capacity, oversee its maintenance, and perform timely quality checks.

    WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

    + Operate Heavy Machinery – Safely and efficiently operate equipment such as loaders, excavators, haul trucks, bulldozers, and crushers to move and load raw materials.

    + Routine Maintenance – Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance (greasing, fluid checks, cleaning) to ensure machinery remains in good working condition.

    + Material Handling – Transport and stockpile aggregates (gravel, sand, stone) while following production and safety guidelines.

    + Adhere to Safety Protocols – Follow all site-specific safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

    + Collaborate with Team – Communicate with supervisors, truck drivers, and plant operators to coordinate material flow and maintain efficient operations.

    + Monitor Equipment Performance – Report any mechanical issues or equipment malfunctions to maintenance or supervisory staff immediately.

    + Support Quarry Operations – Assist with general labor tasks such as clearing debris, maintaining haul roads, and helping with plant operations when needed.

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    + **Education: High school diploma or equivalent**

    + **Field of Study Preferred: N/A**

    + **Required Work Experience: Experience operating heavy equipment, including but not limited to skid steers, loaders, excavators, and backhoes.**

    + **Travel Requirements: 25%-50% of the time**

    + Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance on equipment.

    + Ability to work in harsh outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and varying weather.

    + Strong safety awareness and adherence to MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) and OSHA regulations.

    + Ability to pass a 7-year criminal background check, including felonies and misdemeanors.

    + Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen as required for the role.

    + Good physical condition to perform manual labor and lift heavy materials, as well as stand, bend, and work in physically demanding environments.

    + Basic understanding of quarry operations and material handling processes (loading, unloading, and transporting aggregates).

    + Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, taking direction from supervisors and collaborating with coworkers.

    + Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors

    Additional Requirements:

    + Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests
