Chemours is seeking a Corporate Accounting Intern to join our Corporate Controllership team! This position will report directly to the Assistant Controller.
Students that succeed in Chemours’ internship and co-op program are typically reconsidered for future opportunities within the company! The Corporate Accounting intern will support each of our corporate controllership teams including consolidations, internal reporting, external reporting, controls and compliance and technical accounting. The Corporate Accounting intern will have the opportunity to be involved in many different activities within the accounting function. The Corporate Accounting intern will be mainly focused on supporting the various corporate accounting teams with data gathering and financial tie-outs and quality control data reviews, and assist in quarterly SEC filings, accounting research, and other activities as needed.
**Location:** Wilmington, DE/Hybrid
**Hours:** Full-time or part-time schedule, flexible to candidate needs
**Term:** 5-month assignment between August-December 2025
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Conducting accounting research regarding technical matters
+ Supporting ad hoc compliance and controls quality reviews and monitoring
+ Collecting and analyzing data associated with internal or external reporting including financial tie outs
+ Ad-hoc projects may include assisting with organizing data related to reporting, managing internal management representation tracking, assisting with SOX documentation, and preparing calculations to support various accounting analyses and entries.
The following is** **_required_** **for this role:
+ Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a sophomore or above at time of assignment
+ Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
+ Strong Microsoft Excel skills
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The following is** **_preferred_** **for this role:
+ 3.2 GPA or above
+ Previous internship or co-op experience in accounting or auditing
+ Experience with One Stream EPM software and/or SAP ERP software
+ Familiarity with data analytics software (Power BI, etc.)
