Position Information
Job Summary:
The Business Intelligence Analyst will support the data analytics platform, Power BI dataset design and report development, and Master Data Management user interface. This role will involve working closely with the senior business intelligence analyst to understand company reporting needs, assisting in creating dynamic dashboards, maintaining MDM user portals, and ensuring the availability of accurate and timely data. The Business Intelligence Analyst will leverage analytical skills and Power BI experience to provide deep insights that drive business strategy and improve operational performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Power BI Development:
+ Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of interactive Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business needs.
+ Build Power BI visualizations, including KPI indicators, charts, graphs, and tables, to effectively communicate insights.
+ Design custom Power BI reports tailored to specific business units and stakeholders, ensuring they are user-friendly and actionable.
+ MDM Portal Management
+ Maintain user portal for all Master Data Management data sets
+ Ensure user experience design configured and implemented to best support accurate and timely management of data
+ Design and develop new, and maintain existing user portal experiences
+ Data Analysis & Reporting:
+ Work with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
+ Analyze business performance, identify trends, and create reports that inform strategic decision-making.
+ Provide actionable insights through detailed reports, ensuring that key performance metrics (KPIs) are clearly presented and easy to interpret.
+ Regularly update reports to reflect new data and evolving business needs.
+ Collaboration & Support:
+ Assist in the development of training materials and deliver training sessions to empower business users to utilize Power BI for self-service analytics.
+ Work closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for new reports or improvements to existing BI solutions.
+ Continuous Improvement:
+ Stay current with the latest BI tools, techniques, and Power BI features to improve reporting capabilities.
+ Assist in implementing automation for recurring reports to improve operational efficiency.
Qualification Requirements
Educational/Training Requirement/Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
+ 2+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst
+ Fluent in Python, dbt, Apache Airflow, SQL, and general web development
+ Experience with integrating Power BI with various data sources (SQL Server, Excel, cloud-based databases, APIs, etc.).
+ Hands-on experience with requirements gathering, system testing, and documentation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Proficiency in PowerBI: Report design, dashboard development, data modeling, and visualizations.
+ Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and extracting data from relational databases.
+ Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
+ Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
