The **Manager, Board Relations** plays a critical role in supporting the governance and management of Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation's Board of Trustees. This role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of board engagement, governance, communications, and meeting logistics. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with a deep understanding of nonprofit governance and a commitment to the mission of the organization. In collaboration with the VP, Strategic Programs, the Manager, Board Relations is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and monitoring initiatives associated with the HMH Foundation's Boards of Directors. The Manager also serves as the liaison between the Network Board of Directors, the HMH Boards of Directors and senior Network and Foundation leaders.

This position will offer a hybrid schedule.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

+ Bachelor's degree OR at least 10 years of equivalent experience

+ Working knowledge of not for profit governance, and compliance frameworks.

+ Strong project management skills with meticulous attention to detail.

+ Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive board and organizational information.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

+ Experience working with executive leadership and/or boards of directors/trustees for a not for profit, preferably within a foundation and/or advancement/development division/department.

+ Passion for the mission and values of the Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation.

+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

+ Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

+ Working knowledge of fundraising principles and practices.

+ Proficiency with board management portals (e.g., Directors Desk, BoardEffect, OnBoard, Diligent).
