    Position Summary

    The Director of Walmart Advisorship serves as the strategic lead between Edgewell and Walmart, acting as a trusted advisor/validator to Walmart’s merchandising and category teams. This role leads end-to-end category strategy, leveraging insights, analytics, and thought leadership to drive joint value creation for Edgewell's brands. As a key partner in category captaincy and modular development, this leader influences shelf, assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies to grow category sales, improve shopper experience, and deepen the Walmart relationship.

    Key Responsibilities

    + **Lead Category Advisorship**

    + Act as the principal advisor to Walmart merchants, providing unbiased, data-driven recommendations to support Walmart's category strategies.

    + Champion the role of Category Captain, leading modular resets, shelf strategy, and assortment recommendations.

    + Deliver best-in-class thought leadership rooted in shopper insights, consumer trends, and market performance.

    + **Walmart Partnership & Influence**

    + Cultivate and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with Walmart merchants and cross functional partners.

    + Partner with Walmart to shape omni-channel category strategy, including eCommerce execution and digital shelf priorities.

    + **Analytics & Insights Leadership**

    + Leverage Walmart Retail Link, Scintilla, Luminate, and syndicated data to create compelling narratives and recommendations.

    + Guide a team of analysts and category managers to deliver actionable insights and performance tracking.

    + **Modular & Space Management**

    + Own the modular planning process including creation and submission of planograms in collaboration with Walmart.

    Qualifications

    + 10+ years of experience in CPG sales, category management, or shopper insights with a focus on Walmart or mass retail.

    + Proven leadership in a Category Captain or Strategic Advisor role with demonstrated influence at the merchant level.

    + Deep knowledge of Walmart tools (Retail Link, Scintilla, Luminate) and space management software (JDA, Apollo, etc.).

    + Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into strategy and action.

    + Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

    + Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).

    + Strength and depth of merchant relationships

    + Influence over modulars, assortment, and promotional outcomes

    + Category growth delivered (total and brand)

    + Internal adoption of insights and strategy alignment

    + Team development and leadership effectiveness

     

    The salary range for this position is $168,000 - 252,000. Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
