    Introduction

     

    Are you a visionary leader with the expertise to shape large-scale event strategies and drive transformative outcomes? Do you have the ability to guide teams, mentor people managers, and influence senior executives with your insights and thought leadership? If so, we are seeking an Americas Events Leader to spearhead our event marketing across the Americas to create engaging client experiences and drive business demand.

     

    This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team, redefine best practices, and make a significant impact on the organization’s event marketing strategy.

     

    Your role and responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities

    As the Americas Events Leader, you will:

    * Strategic Leadership:

    * Provide significant strategic vision to align event marketing with business objectives, focusing on ROI, audience engagement, and long-term brand building.

    * Serve as a thought leader to the VP of Client Experience and VP of Marketing & Communication for the Americas, offering innovative solutions and insights to drive organizational success.

    * Liaise with the global events team to redefine best practices, optimize processes, and increase productivity.

    * Team and People Management:

    * Lead and manage a team of 35 event marketers, ensuring alignment on goals, collaboration, and performance excellence.

    * Oversee and mentor people managers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and professional growth.

    * Guide teams to develop strategic event plans that achieve business objectives and maximize ROI.

    * Executive Engagement:

    * Present event strategies, outcomes, and recommendations to senior executives, including SVPs, with confidence and clarity.

    * Build strong relationships across leadership teams to ensure alignment and support for event initiatives.

    * Event Strategy and Execution:

    * Operate at a strategic level, leading the development and execution of large-scale, outcome-driven events across the Americas region.

    * Design client experiences within the customer journey, including messaging, curriculum scope, and sequence.

    * Ensure seamless event execution, post-event analysis, and performance reporting in collaboration with field marketing and other stakeholders.

    * Budget & Financial Management:

    * Manage and oversee multi-million-dollar event budgets, ensuring strategic allocation of resources and financial efficiency.

    * Provide in-depth financial analysis to guide decision-making and optimize event planning strategies.

    * Compliance and Optimization:

    * Ensure 100% compliance with audit, legal, and data privacy requirements.

    * Drive innovation in event tools and technologies, advocating for streamlining and efficiency across processes.

     

    Leaders are expected to spend time with their teams and clients and therefore are generally expected to be in the workplace a minimum of three days a week, subject to business needs.

    Required technical and professional expertise

    * Strategic Thinking: Deep expertise in aligning event strategies with organizational goals, focusing on ROI and brand building.

    * Event Marketing Mastery: Extensive knowledge of tools, processes, and strategies to deliver high-impact events.

    * Financial Acumen: Strong skills in managing multi-million-dollar budgets, financial analysis, and strategic resource allocation.

    * Global Collaboration: Ability to liaise with global teams to drive innovation, redefine best practices, and enhance productivity.

    * Communication & Problem-Solving: Exceptional communication skills and innovative problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges.
