• Commercial Material Handler- 2nd Shift

    Eaton Corporation (Sherman, TX)


    Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Commercial Material Handler- 2nd Shift. The core hours are 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. The rate for this position is $21.94/hr + $0.60/hr shift differential per hour.

    What you’ll do:

    + Responsible for unloading and loading raw material from trucks and/or Commercial assembly lines to keep flow of product smooth and efficient

    + Move raw material in a safe manner and dispose of scrap.

    + Operate forklifts.

    + Store, space, and deliver materials or products.

    + Stack pallets and arrange materials.

    + May be required to palletize and secure material as needed.

    + Receive training on use of power truck and other powered material handling equipment (ex. walking crane or hoist).

    + Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.

    + May use the spotter truck to move flatbed and dry van trailers as needed or required.

    + Additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Basic (Required) Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.

    + Valid state issued driver’s license required.

    + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

    + No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Strong product knowledge.

    + Forklift experience both stand up and sit down.

    Position Criteria:

    • Ability to lift 50 lbs. alone occasionally to frequently, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending.

    • Ability to follow directions, work independently, and pay close attention to detail.

    • Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product.

    • Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate¬.

    • Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business.

    • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks.
