    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    As the Float Pool Nursing Manager, you will supervise the float employees regarding clinical and ancillary services within the ambulatory surgery centers. You will participate in staff development, educational programs, and orientations.

    What you will do in this role:

    + Demonstrate technical expertise in areas appropriate to the ambulatory surgery centers patient population

    + Deliver care, and direct the delivery of care by others in a manner that is consistent with current standards of the profession and with policies/procedures of the ambulatory surgery centers

    + Provide leadership for staff and promote an environment in which all team members can work cooperatively

    + Function effectively as a key player in the facility Leadership Team

    Qualifications you will need:

    + Nursing Diploma

    + Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Nursing strongly preferred

    + Minimum 5 years’ experience in an operating room setting; preferably in an ambulatory surgery center

    + Previous management experience required

    + Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure

    + Valid BCLS and ACLS certification

    + PALS as required by facility

    + CNOR preferred
