Description
Amazon IT Communications and Marketing is seeking a curious, self-motivated, and creative communications professional who is looking to apply their skills and experience in innovative ways. An ideal candidate will want to be part of a team that does nothing but think about ways to more effectively collaborate with colleagues while working to craft data-driven campaigns and enable messaging channels that will support strategies across Amazon IT products, services, and initiatives. In this role, you will support the emerging products portfolio supported by Amazon IT.
We’re looking for a candidate who can exercise high judgement and interface directly with leadership and stakeholders to help deliver key narratives, content, and events while leveraging data and communications insights to optimize the customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in developing marketing or communications campaigns, testing and learning from data insights, and scaling programs globally. You will have strong verbal and written communications skills and be comfortable taking initiative, operating at a global scale, understanding cultural and local preferences, and working across teams in an agile environment. Your peers are level-headed, top-notch performers who insist on high standards, advocate passionately for customers, and proactively take the lead when necessary.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop full-funnel communications strategies that drive conversion to key customer segments
- Support go-to-market activities for product, services, and program launches globally
- Proactively build and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders across a range of businesses and geographies to support new and existing products, features, and services
- Track and report content effectiveness metrics to internal stakeholders, as well as continually monitor, analyze, and tune messaging to maximize impact
- Identify emerging customer problems and develop proactive plans with stakeholders, including crafting content as needed
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
