Description
The Workforce Solutions team is looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to help drive our engineering revolution in the Talent Acquisition (TA) space. In this role, you will invent and build on behalf of recruiters, experiment and test new ideas and build sustainable solutions that help us scale with technology. You will experiment with and implement the best GenAI tools and build intelligent sourcing strategies to improve speed, cost and quality of hire at Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
- Define the system architecture, own and implement specific components, and help shape the overall experience
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and other SDE team members to help define the scope of the product
- Participate in the full development life cycle, working within broadly defined parameters, including test plan execution and software quality needs.
- Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement
- Design and define the interaction between the solution components and other systems where applicable.
- Engineer highly scalable, cloud-native applications
A day in the life
As an SDE you'll spearhead Amazon's talent acquisition technology. You'll design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain innovative services that power our global recruiting efforts. Your role involves crafting cutting-edge products, debugging complex systems, and collaborating across teams to deliver high-performance software. You'll create scalable, flexible solutions with low latency and high throughput, directly impacting Amazon's ability to attract top talent worldwide.

Workforce Solutions (WS) empowers our customers by providing integrated, people-focused solutions that streamline hiring processes for WW Stores, AWS, Devices, and Talent Acquisition. Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
