    **Pay Range:** $29.36 - $47.79 per hour

    Summary:

    The Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) is a key member of the Rush University Medical Center community. This position provides psychotherapy services and case management to address mental health concerns and complex issues for Rush patients and family members from a variety of referral sources. The Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor directs patients and community members to relevant resources both internal to Rush and in the community. This position supports relevant programming for the Rush patient community and may serve as a representative of their department in meetings and presentations. This position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

    Other information:

    • Master’s degree in Counseling or equivalent degree.

    • Current Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in State of Illinois.

    • 4 years’ experience in healthcare, care management, mental health and/or social services.

    • Clinical experience with relevant population(s) including related psychotherapy skills required by Manager (e.g., motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, etc), as well as strong crisis intervention skills.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

    • Strong active listening, critical thinking, judgment and decision-making skills.

    • Ability to approach clients and workplace from a trauma-informed and health equity lens.

    Preferred Job Qualifications:

    • Experience providing clinical supervision.

    • Experience with evidenced-based interventions.

    • Experience with high risk and/or complex populations.

    • Professional qualities such as initiative, self-reflection, commitment, responsiveness and adaptability.

    • Strong planning and implementation skills, including problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provides individual, group, couples, or family psychotherapy services or case management related responsibilities to Rush patients based on the departmental needs.

    • Develops treatment plans for the patient and/or family.

    • Works directly with patients and their families to address complex issues that arise from unmet needs and provide the necessary clinical services for them to achieve their care goals.

    • Connects patients and their families to relevant resources, both at Rush and in the community, to address their needs.

    • Provides care management and/or support programming for the Rush patient community as outlined by Manager.

    • Documents all client interactions in either the Epic, LCM software and/or other spaces in a timely manner as indicated by Manager.

    • Maintains relationships with referring Rush clinics through consistent and timely communication.

    • Promotes Rush University System for Health clinical services by referring clients to relevant Rush clinics.

    • Leverages experience to support team members in training, crisis management, etc. as needed.

    • Represents the department at meetings, conferences or other public engagements on an as-needed basis.
