Description

We are looking for an experienced Interim Quality Director to oversee and enhance all quality assurance and control processes within our client's manufacturing site in Tallassee, Alabama. This Contract to permanent position requires a dynamic leader who can ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The role involves fostering a culture of excellence, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement across all global operational quality functions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead site-wide quality assurance and control efforts to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Implement and enforce global quality standards, focusing on Zero Defect Manufacturing and robust process controls.

• Collaborate with site leadership and functional teams to identify and execute quality improvement initiatives.

• Conduct thorough root cause analysis to address defects and prevent recurrence.

• Establish and maintain supplier quality programs to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality materials.

• Oversee internal and external auditing processes, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for enhancement.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for quality processes and procedures.

• Mentor and coach team members to build strong quality-focused capabilities across the organization.

• Monitor and analyze quality metrics to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Act as the primary liaison for customer quality concerns, ensuring timely resolution and satisfaction.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

•10+ years of experience in quality management, business management, or operations within manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or related industries.

•Expertise in root cause analysis (RCA), CAPA, problem-solving tools (8D, DMAIC, A3), and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

•Strong background in supplier quality management, including supplier audits, performance assessments, and corrective action plans.

•Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and mentoring staff in continuous improvement processes.

•Working knowledge of QMS standards (ISO 9001, AS9100) and familiarity with SPC, PFMEA, and control charts.

•Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
