Description

A leading neurology-focused healthcare organization in Carlsbad, CA, is searching for a detail-oriented Medical Biller with a passion for accuracy and compliance in healthcare billing. This role is critical to ensuring the financial health of the practice through efficient invoicing, claims submission, and collections.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Accurately process healthcare claims for neurology services and ensure timely reimbursement.

+ Verify insurance coverage and coordinate billing with patients and payers.

+ Address and resolve billing issues, denials, and discrepancies.

+ Maintain up-to-date patient records and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

+ Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and insurers to resolve billing inquiries.

Requirements

+ High school diploma required; additional coursework in medical billing or coding is preferred.

+ 2+ years of experience in medical billing, with familiarity in billing for specialty healthcare services.

+ Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT codes, and ICD-10 coding.

+ Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as Cerner or Epic.

+ Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
