• Property Accounting Manager

    Description

    Our client, a very successful RE organization, is looking for a skilled Property Accounting Manager to join the firm here in Boston. This role offers the opportunity to oversee financial operations for an extensive portfolio of assets while leading a team of dedicated accounting experts. If you have a strong background in property accounting and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this position could be an excellent fit. The role is hybrid with Fridays from home and lots of flexibility when required.

    Responsibilities:

    + Financial Management & Reporting: Oversee financial closings, review key financial documents, and prepare reports for senior leadership to ensure accuracy and compliance.

    + Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and implement enhancements, leveraging property management software like Yardi.

    + Internal Controls: Enforce internal controls to maintain regulatory compliance and auditing standards.

    + Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support the accounting team to foster growth, provide backup during peak periods, and drive department-wide initiatives.

    + Special Projects: Manage budgeting activities and execute special accounting projects as needed.

     

    Excellent base and bonus compensation.

    Requirements

    + Real Estate accounting a must (commercial is ideal)

    + Supervisory experience to supervise / mentor small staff in this role

    + Yardi, MRI, or similar systems experience.

    + CPA with public accounting is a plus.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
