As a Medical Malpractice Paralegal your responsibilities will include nit aren't limited too:

• Provide comprehensive support for medical malpractice cases, including case preparation, document management, and trial coordination.

• Organize and maintain legal documents, including trial exhibits, briefs, and medical records.

• Assist with calendar management, ensuring all deadlines and court dates are met.

• Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for trials, hearings, and depositions.

• Manage billing functions and ensure accurate timekeeping and expense reporting.

• Utilize case management software and tools like Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and CompuLaw to streamline workflows.

• Conduct legal research and assist in drafting pleadings and other legal documents.

• Travel to attend trials, meetings, and other case-related events as required.

• Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and medical experts to gather necessary case information.

• Support the team with claim administration and communication to ensure smooth case progression.

Requirements

The ideal Medical Malpractice Paralegal candidate will have the following:

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on medical malpractice and civil litigation.

• Proven trial experience, including familiarity with trial exhibits and courtroom procedures.

• Proficiency in legal software tools, such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and case management systems.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle complex case files and deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for client and team interactions.

• Ability to travel for trials and quarterly meetings, primarily on the East Coast but occasionally nationwide.

• Knowledge of billing functions, claim administration, and calendar management.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage high-pressure situations effectively.
