    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Modesto, CA)


    Description Key Responsibilities:

    Assist in the execution of audit engagements in accordance with GAAP, GAAS, and firm standards

     

    Prepare audit workpapers and document findings in a clear and organized manner

     

    Perform analytical procedures, reconciliations, and testing of internal controls

     

    Participate in fieldwork at client locations or remotely, as required

     

    Communicate with clients to gather financial data and clarify audit-related questions

     

    Draft financial statements and supporting schedules under supervision

     

    Work collaboratively with audit seniors and managers to meet engagement timelines

     

    Stay current on accounting and auditing standards through firm-provided training

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required); Master’s or progress toward CPA preferred

     

    0–2 years of experience in public accounting or relevant internship experience

     

    Understanding of basic accounting principles and auditing procedures

     

    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with audit software (e.g., CaseWare, CCH, ProSystem fx) a plus

     

    Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills

     

    Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities under deadlines Requirements Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Audit - Information Systems, Sarbanes Oxley Testing, Audit Senior, ITGC
