    Job Description

    Performs a variety of laboratory procedures relevant to the Cytogenetic Laboratory. Prepares and tests specimens for examinations. Reports test results to the Supervisor. Maintains accurate records.

    Job Responsibility

    + * Performs a variety of laboratory procedures relevant to the cytogenetic laboratory.

    + * Prepares and tests specimens for examination.

    + * Reports preliminary results to the Supervisor.

    + * Maintains accurate records.

    + * Responsible for the operation and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.

    + Maintains the laboratory area in a clean and orderly manner.

    + Performs related duties, as required.

    *ADA Essential Functions

    Job Qualification

    + Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or Basic Sciences, required.

    + Licensed by New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (or as appropriate to area of assignment), required. OR Completion of a clinical rotation at LIJ in the specific area noted above.

    + Minimum of one (1) year work experience and/or training specific to the work being done in the area noted above.

    The salary range for this position is $52.68-$64.06/hour
