    **Job Title:** Maintenance Technician

    **Location:** Travelers Rest, SC

    **Industry:** plastic injection molding manufacturing

    **Status of Hire:** direct placement; permanent

    **Pay:** $28/hr - $31/hr

    **Hours:** 1 st shift (7am-3:30pm)

    **Summary:** The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, systems, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations in a manufacturing environment.

    Job Duties:

    + Perform routine and emergency maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

    + Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment, minimizing production downtime.

    + Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and document all findings and repairs.

    + Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment-related issues.

    + Install, assemble, and test new equipment and systems.

    + Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, parts used, and equipment history.

    + Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.

    + Support continuous improvement efforts through root cause analysis and equipment upgrades.

    + Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance work area and tools.

    + Participate in safety audits, training sessions, and compliance initiatives.

    + Maintaining uptime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    + Diagnosing complex issues across diverse types of machinery.

    + Balancing priorities between preventive maintenance and urgent repairs.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    + Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing maintenance role.

    + High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, or Mechanical Technology preferred.

    + Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.

    + Knowledge of PLCs, motors, drives, conveyors, pumps, and HVAC systems.

    + Familiarity with safety protocols, LOTO, and OSHA requirements.

    + Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

    + Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    + Basic computer skills for maintenance software and reporting.

    + Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

    + Effective communication and teamwork

    + Ability to work independently and take initiative

    + Adaptability to changing priorities and urgent situations

    + Strong organizational and time management skills

    + Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety

    + Positive attitude and willingness to continuously learn

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and stand for long periods.

    + May require working on-call or during off-hours for emergency repairs.
