Job Title: Manager, Social Work ServicesDepartment: Social Work Location: Rochester General Hospital Hours Per Week: 40Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm SUMMARY: To manage Social Work Services and supervise the Social Work staff, including Medicaid Specialists, office support, and interpreters. Responsible for the quality of the service. Supports hospital and department policies and goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Provides supervision and management for Social Workers, Home Health Coordinators, and support staff, ensuring adherence to organizational and departmental policies.
+ Oversees performance through regular staff meetings, chart reviews, observations, and completes annual appraisals and competencies.
+ Leads hiring processes, staff orientation, disciplinary actions, and ensures completion of mandatory in services and training.
+ Coordinates service coverage, scheduling, and budget planning; reviews and revises policies at least every three years.
+ Facilitates communication across teams, participates in leadership development, and represents the service with internal and external stakeholders.
+ Directs and monitors Quality Improvement initiatives, develops action plans, and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations and long-term care facilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Master’s degree in Social Work or equivalent
+ New York license in Social Work
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ 5 years of increasingly responsible experience within the field of social work, preferably in a hospital setting.
+ Strong analytical, computer, and communication skills

$65,000.00 - $102,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
