    Job Title: Welder Foreman

    Job Description

As a Welder Foreman, you will lead a crew of skilled welders on diverse projects ranging from commercial buildings to intricate handrails, offering a fantastic opportunity to grow in a leadership position.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead and manage a crew of welders, ensuring high-quality workmanship.

    + Coordinate with permanent employees to achieve project goals.

    + Oversee projects involving structural and miscellaneous steel.

    + Read and interpret blueprints for project layout and execution.

    + Inspect welding work for adherence to safety and quality standards.

    + Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.

    Essential Skills

    + 8-10 years of experience in Structural and/or Miscellaneous Steel Welding.

    + Proficiency in MIG, Stick, and Flux Core welding techniques.

    + Blueprint reading and interpretation skills.

    + Ability to layout according to blueprints.

    + Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

    + Valid Driver's License.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + OSHA 10 certification is mandatory; OSHA 30 is a plus.

    + Experience in steel rigging and erection.

    + Certifications in all forms for stick and MIG welding.

    + Experience as an Ironworker.

    + General knowledge of industry practices and how pieces work together.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in the field on various sites, operating out of a company truck with tools provided. Enjoy a consistent work schedule from 6/7 AM to 3:30 PM, with additional hours if travel is necessary. Steel toe boots are required.

    This is a full-time position based out of East Berlin, Connecticut.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
