Job Title: Construction Technician - Fire Watch

Job Description

We are seeking a Construction Technician responsible for fire watch at a construction site. The primary duty involves observing the site and being vigilant for any incidents that may require the use of a fire extinguisher.

Responsibilities

+ Monitor the construction site vigilantly for potential fire hazards.

+ Stay alert at all times to ensure quick response to any incidents.

+ Ensure the site is safe and compliant with safety standards.

Essential Skills

+ Experience working on a construction site.

+ Knowledge of inspection and quality assurance processes.

+ Firewatch expertise.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience writing and/or reviewing reports is advantageous.

+ Experience in construction and familiarity with the environment is beneficial.

+ Attention to detail is crucial.

Work Environment

The job takes place on a construction site, where the contractor will primarily walk around or remain in a stationary location, waiting for any incidents to occur. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional Saturdays. Most Saturdays are currently workdays, and candidates must be open to the overtime included in the schedule, working 5 days with 10-hour shifts. This is a contract position lasting through September, with the possibility of extending through November. The position requires a reliable candidate who can consistently be on-site daily. Candidates should be comfortable working independently with minimal interaction with other employees and contractors.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
