The Krieger School of Arts & Sciences Dean’s Office is seeking an **_Executive Assistant_** who can provide a high-level of administrative, project, and complex calendar management support for 9 principals in the Deans' Leadership Team. The Executive Assistant assists in all administrative matters and provides administrative support for the day-to-day operations, supporting the executive(s) on a variety and range of administrative and office functions to include oral and written communications, calendar, meetings, travel arrangements, and special projects as needed.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
+ Coordinate calendars and arrange meetings and events.
+ Prepare meeting summaries and confidential reports for executive management regarding sensitive and complex issues. Record and draft minutes. Monitor and follow-up on action items.
+ Organize committees and meetings on behalf of the executive(s).
+ Assume full responsibility and accountability for carrying out and completing special projects and assignments.
+ Work closely with and interact regularly with high-level staff, officers, and special guests.
+ Represent the executive(s) in appropriate circumstances within the scope of the position’s responsibility.
+ Schedule and prepare travel-related and other reimbursements as needed.
+ Assist with files, letters, and preparation of department reports.
+ Perform other duties as requested.
_Supplemental Information_
+ Responsible for office management, including records management, budget administration, facilities, etc. Identifies and resolves administrative challenges by analyzing workflows and recommending process improvements.
+ Maintains the website and coordinates with the KSAS Communications team regarding the distribution of communications.
+ Manages physical space in the office, including Dean’s suite, conference rooms, and the larger population of SMC2, overseeing front desk coverage and locational support for all tenants of the second floor. Ensures that the office is properly supplied.
+ This position will deal regularly with highly sensitive and, at times, urgent subject matter and must be proactive and responsive.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree.
+ Five years experience in providing progressively responsible administrative support with experience working on a wide variety of special projects and special assignments.
+ Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS Diploma/Graduation Equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience in higher education.
+ Experience working with Deans, executives, and faculty.
+ Experience managing high- priority calendars.

Starting Salary Range: $24.25 - $33.40 - $42.50 HRLY (Commensurate w/exp.)

The listed salary range represents the minimum and maximum Johns Hopkins University offers for this position, based on a good faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as location, skills, experience, market conditions, education, and internal equity. Not all candidates will qualify for the highest salary in the range.
