About our Wood Products Business:
We manufacture and sell an innovative collection of proven structural framing materials to the residential, multi-family and light commercial markets, and provide seamless building solutions, from design to installation to support. This team moves fast, works smart and never stops pushing to be and stay number one in the industry.
The Raymond, Washington facility is a lumber manufacturing operation.
Weyerhaeuser has an immediate opening for a Facility Environmental Manager supporting Raymond and other Washington based company operations. The person in this role will be responsible for providing full environmental support for the Raymond facility. Duties include implementing systems necessary to ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations and permit conditions, championing best practices to achieve customer satisfaction while maintaining all environmental operating plans, permits and records. This position partners with the operations leadership teams to establish and model behavior that leads to excellent performance. This position reports to the Regional Environmental Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
* Be accountable for compliance with environmental regulations and permit conditions on a daily basis.
* Ensure that inspections and recordkeeping are performed at required frequencies, and that environmental monitoring parameters comply with permits, plans, government regulations, or other regulatory or company requirements.
* Ensure proper and timely implementation of facility environmental plans and procedures.
* Work safely, and in full compliance with the facility's safety plans, policies and practices.
* Role model all standards/processes and on-the-job behavior by living our core values of Safety, Integrity, Citizenship, Sustainability and Inclusion.
* Build relationships with production leaders, managers, supervisors and associates to influence environmental best practices.
* Build relationships with regulatory agencies concerning environmental compliance and work with them to influence regulatory outcomes.
* Resolve environmental upsets with the facility managers, regional environmental manager, appropriate regulatory agencies, and other appropriate company environmental contacts.
* Support and/or lead facility environmental compliance audits at the facility.
* Maintain environmental records at the facility for mandatory retention periods or as determined appropriate.
* Assist with environmental training for all facility employees as required.
* Establish and model organizational behavior.
* Participate as an active member of the regional environmental team to support environmental efforts, train on new or changing regulatory matters, and share best management practices.
* Management of consultants ensuring quality, cost-effective service.
* Bachelor's Degree (or higher) from an accredited institution in an appropriate scientific or engineering field or equivalent with 3-5 years' experience, including 2 years' environmental experience is required.
* Strong understanding of environmental requirements and operating manufacturing permits, including air, water and solid waste requirements, storm water, spill prevention and control, hazardous materials, and chemical management.
* Experience with researching, reading, interpreting, and applying local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
* Understand compliance management systems.
* Experience with environmental compliance audit/inspection processes and ability to complete an internal/external audit/inspection.
* Project management skills which include the ability to develop and implement environmental processes.
* Proven skills in administering and managing environmental policies and regulatory requirements and providing related training.
* Strong, engaging, people-centered leadership style.
* Proactive, assertive, and ability to work with a sense of urgency is required.
* Ability to work under pressure and commitment to organize and meet deadlines.
* Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills.
* Strong planning and organizational skills. Ability to lead and promote teamwork and efficiently plan work schedule.
* Demonstrated basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office and other window-based programs.
* Willingness to support 24/7 operating environments, which may include weekend and holiday support as conditions require.
* Ability to perform physical requirements of working in an industrial environment, such as climbing stairs and working in extreme heat and cold.
* High level of integrity, strong work ethic, good judgment and problem-solving skills.
*What We Offer:* **
*Compensation*: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of$68,371-$102,556based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

*Retirement*: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.
*Paid Time Off or Vacation*: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
