    JOB SUMMARY:

    At Ohio CAT, we are looking to add to our team! As an Ohio CAT Technician, you will troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild heavy equipment, engines, drive-train components, and electrical and hydraulic systems. Responsibilities include inspecting, repairing, maintaining, overhauling, and rebuilding engines and/or heavy equipment components, such as torque converters, final drives, undercarriage, hydraulic pumps, and much more. In a Technician position at Ohio CAT, you will have the satisfaction of keeping our customers working and contributing to building the world around you!

    REQUIREMENTS:

    + High school diploma or equivalent required.

    + College and/or continued education in a technical field are a plus.

    + Two to three years’ experience related to construction or power equipment/diesel engine service, rebuild, and repair is required.

    + General technical service skills, mechanical aptitude, or experience with construction or power equipment required, and strong DC electrical and machine electronic system knowledge is crucial.

    + Must have the ability to follow technical material and apply processes and procedures as necessary to complete repairs and manufacturers’ updates, as required.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    + Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling

    + Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines

    + Dexterity Normal

    + Repetitive Motions: Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers.

    + The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
