Job Description
•** **We're Hiring: Advanced Practice Specialty Nurse – GI
About the Role:
Do you geek out over gut health? Do endoscopies, capsule studies, and complex GI cases spark your clinical curiosity? If you're a highly skilled, motivated Nurse Practitioner who’s passionate about all things GI, we want _you_ on our team!
As our **Advanced Practice Specialty Nurse – GI** , you’ll work alongside top-tier gastroenterologists and a dynamic care team to deliver advanced, compassionate care to patients with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions. You'll assess, diagnose, treat, and follow patients using your expertise—and even assist in procedures under physician supervision. In short: You’ll be a GI game-changer.
•** **What You’ll Do:
+ Be a clinical leader in GI care—manage patients with GI dysfunction and disease across inpatient and/or outpatient settings
+ Collaborate with physicians and specialists to create and carry out treatment plans
+ Perform assessments, order diagnostics, and initiate evidence-based interventions
+ Assist with or perform specific diagnostic/interventional GI procedures (with supervision)
+ Provide education and support to patients and families
+ Help shape and elevate the standard of GI care in our organization
•** **What You Bring:
+ MSN from an accredited nursing program
+ Active RN license in Missouri
+ Nurse Practitioner certification (ANCC, AANP, etc.)
+ Missouri certification for Advanced Practice (if required)
+ Current **Collaborative Practice Agreement**
+ BCLS certification
+ Clinical expertise in GI or a strong interest in developing it
+ 3–5 years of hands-on nursing experience
+ Leadership chops and the ability to thrive in a team
•** **Bonus Points For:
+ 3–5 years of **gastroenterology-specific** experience
+ Advanced education in GI diseases, treatments, and patient management
+ Experience in endoscopy, colonoscopy, or other GI procedures
+ A sense of humor and a collaborative spirit (we take our work seriously—but not _ourselves_ 😉)
