Average Hours per pay period: 40 hours every 2 weeks

+ DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

+ The HCC Clinical Instructor is a Registered Professional Nurse responsible for implementing and presenting orientation programs for new HCC clinical personnel, as well as educational programs, training, and clinical competencies for HCC clinical staff.

+ QUALIFICATIONS

+ Professional/Educational

+ Registered Nurse with current Illinois License.

+ Bachelor's degree in nursing required or similar healthcare field.

+ At least 3 years nursing experience which has provided opportunities to refine competencies in nursing practice and apply principles and practice of teaching and supervision.

+ Masters degree in nursing or similar healthcare field preferred.

+ ECW experience preferred

+ DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

+ Personal

+ Maintains good physical and emotional well being.

+ Three or more years assessing, designing, instructing, and evaluating educational programs for adult learners in a clinical setting

+ Proficient writing and communication skills

+ CPR, ACLS & PALS instructor certification recommended.

+ EKG knowledge and interpretation skills, IV knowledge, and venipuncture skills.

+ Is creative, imaginative and receptive to new methodology.

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
