    Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the 6th Force Support Squadron Community Service Flight, Outdoor Recreation. MacDill AFB. FL (AMC) THIS IS A DRUG TESTING DESIGNATED POSITION. THE INCUMBENT IS SUBJECT TO RANDOM TESTING FOR DRUG USE. Responsibilities This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) or the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1986. An individual convicted of a misdemeanor crime or domestic violence may not perform the duties or this position. The duties, activities, or responsibilities of this position require the employee to do one or more of the following: use firearms or ammunition, sell or dispose of firearms or ammunition, receive, possess, ship, or transport firearms, or other duties, activities or responsibilities covered by the Gun Control Act {Title 18, USC, See 922). Performs minor repairs and adjustments to outdoor recreation equipment such as shotguns and target throwers. Safety monitor of the skeet range during live operations. Assists in conducting specialprograms and marketing requests for all activities. Maintains inventory (properly document) of supplies and equipment's. Perform and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialists in the preparation and maintenance of indoor and/or outdoor recreational facilities (Marina, Famcamp, Skeet & Trap, retail outlet, and storage facilities). Inspects facilities and equipment to ensure safe condition and cleanliness. Greets patrons and provides required information and services. Properly issues, monitors and collects recreational rental equipment. Instructs customer in the use and setup of equipment when required. Take reservations and payments for trips and tours. Collects, safeguards and deposits fees received from customers in accordance with published guidelines, directives, and policies. Prepares daily papenvork and secure funds at end of shift. Work under the supervision of the Operation's Manager. Performs other duties assigned. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Practical Knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures. Skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities is desirable. Ability to safeguard and handle cash and ability to make mathematical calculations for money transactions. Knowledge of office automation software (MS Windows, MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Excel) is desirable. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Experience and/or knowledge of shotguns and gun safety. Ability to learn rules of skeet shooting, loading target machines and gun cleaning. Must be at least 18 years of age and have had no convictions of domestic violence. Any person who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence is not eligible for this position. Candidates selected for this position will be required to certify that they have not been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence prior to assuming the duties of this position. False or fraudulent information provided by candidates is criminally punishable by fine or imprisonment (Title 18, USC, Sec I 00 I) and will result in removal from federal service. Subject to satisfactory completion of a Tier I, National Agency Check. THIS IS A DRUG TESTING DESIGNATED POSITION. THE INCUMBENT IS SUBJECT TO RANDOM TESTING FOR DRUG USE. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Direct deposit is required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. A probationary period may be required. Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD). Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
