    QUALITY INSPECTOR

    Job Title: Quality Inspector

     

    Department: Quality Assurance

     

    Reports To: Quality Assurance Manager

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Conduct In-Process and Final Inspections

    + Utilize inspection gauges (micrometer, caliper, etc.)

    + Analyze and prepare certification and documentation

    + Prepare reports for management

    + Work independently and in groups to identify and resolve issues

    + Positive attitude with team mentality

    + Ability to layout detailed castings

     

    Job Qualifications: US Citizenship is required per DoD requirements

     

    Education:HS Diploma or equivalent

    Experience:

    + Knowledge of blueprints and GD&T

    + Experience with Navy specifications

    + Ability to navigate and understand Electric Boat Standard Clauses

    + Fluent with Microsoft office

    + Experience with PC DMIS software

    + Familiar with ISO 9001-2015

    Salary:

    $30-$35 per hour, dependent on qualifications and experience

     

    Job Type: Full-time

    Schedule:

    + 6:00 AM-2:30 PM, 1st Shift Monday to Friday

    + 1:00 PM-11:00 PM, 2nd Shift Monday to Thursday

    Physical and Mental Efforts:

    General: Extensive mobility required, some moderate to heavy lifting. Position requires ability to lift objects weighing more than 50 pounds occasionally; walking and standing for long durations; see objects closely; and hear normal sounds with some background noises. Position requires ability to concentrate with some interruption and attend to tasks for 45 to 60 minutes at a time.

    Environmental and Working Conditions:

    Industrial shop setting. Dust, dirt, metal debris from manufacturing will be encountered. Moderate levels of noise will be encountered.
