    Caterpillar Inc. seeks Data Specialist at its facility located at 5205 N. O'Connor Boulevard, Suite 100, Irving, Texas 75039. Responsible for generating operational insights and driving corrective actions within our digital ecosystem. Monitor pipelines, triage of data quality & performance issues, and strategic access management for Caterpillar’s digital data assets. Perform all necessary data related tasks including data analysis, data visualization, operational metadata management, monitoring and technical troubleshooting of data issues. Monitor pipeline execution for failures or anomalies, using a variety of tools and methods. Develop new monitoring solutions and automations to accelerate issue detection and correction. Work directly on complex problems and provide resolution aligned with overall objectives of company's digital solutions. Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations that accurately depict the health of our digital assets. Drive technical issue correction and resolution focused on Service Level Agreements. Liaise with data owners and stewards to secure proper access to their data. Maintain knowledge of functional technology of the data platform and related systems. Maintain existing data quality scorecard measurements, execute scorecards, resolve exceptions with data owners and source systems. Communicate with end users and internal customers to help direct development, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness. REQS: This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus 7 years of experience in data science, data operations, data engineering or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) 2 years of experience with AWS services such as S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, Sagemaker, IAM); (2) 3 years of Software development experience with object-oriented/scripting languages such as Python, Java, C++, or Scala; (3) 5 years of experience with data governance, metadata management, data quality, data modeling, and data architecture concepts; and (4) 2 years Data Integration development experience. Travel Requirements: 15% (domestic). 100% Telecommuting permitted.

    Summary Pay Range:

    $140,109.00 - $143,520.00
