Senior Manager, Pricing Execution
Position Overview
The Senior Manager, Pricing Execution will play a critical leadership role in implementing and operationalizing pricing strategies across Shaw’s Residential business. Reporting to the Vice President, Pricing Strategy, this individual will be responsible for driving day-to-day execution of pricing processes, managing pricing systems and governance, and leading high-impact teams that deliver timely, market-aligned pricing across all categories and channels. This role is essential in supporting the company’s transition to a value-based, data-driven pricing model.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Execution & Operations
+ Lead the operational rollout and maintenance of pricing strategies, ensuring pricing accuracy, consistency, and alignment with corporate and business unit goals.
+ Maintain and manage Shaw’s pricing systems and infrastructure—including Mainframe, Zilliant, Vendavo, Oracle, & Salesforce.com – ensuring functionality, compatibility, integration, data integrity, pricing accuracy, and user access rights.
+ Manage pricing approvals, exception processes, and escalation workflows in coordination with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance.
+ Ensure disciplined price governance and compliance through clear documentation, process controls, communication, and compliance with SOX.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
+ Lead a cross-functional pricing execution team, including pricing analysts and customer service pricing coordinators.
+ Foster alignment between Sales, Customer Experience, Product & Brand Management, and Pricing teams to deliver seamless pricing support and responsiveness to customers and field sales.
+ Collaborate with Sales Compensation and HR teams to align pricing discipline with incentive structures and sales behaviors.
Process Improvement & Enablement
+ Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimize pricing workflows, reduce lead times, and improve customer responsiveness.
+ Identify and implement best practices across pricing execution, data validation, margin protection, and price communication.
+ Develop and maintain pricing playbooks, SOPs, and training materials to ensure clarity and scalability of pricing processes.
Reporting, Analytics, & Support
+ Partner with Product, Marketing, and Sales leadership to ensure that pricing reflects go-to-market strategy, value propositions, and competitive dynamics.
+ Serve as a trusted partner to Sales leadership, supporting large deal pricing discussions and enabling execution of pricing strategies at the customer level.
+ Provide pricing execution metrics and insights, including analysis of price agreements, exceptions, credits, and pricing compliance.
+ Enable cross-functional partners and leadership with visibility into pricing performance, margin impacts, and execution effectiveness.
Qualifications Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
+ 7+ years of progressive experience in pricing, sales operations, finance, or a related function, ideally within a complex, multi-channel organization.
+ Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and manage execution in a matrixed environment.
+ Experience deploying and managing pricing systems (e.g., Zilliant, Vendavo) and CRM/ERP platforms.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
+ Excellent communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
+ Analytical thinker with strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
+ Background in the building products, manufacturing, or distribution industries.
+ Experience driving change management and process transformation initiatives.
+ Familiarity with Salesforce, Oracle, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
+ Understanding of pricing principles including cost-to-serve, value-based pricing, and discounting frameworks.
+ 10+ years of progressive experience in pricing, sales operations, finance, or a related function, ideally within a complex, multi-channel organization.
