Summary:

Meta is seeking experienced professionals to join its Global Technology Sourcing team, which plays a critical role in supporting the company's 3.8B+ users by developing and deploying scale infrastructure globally. They will partner with various teams, including HW Engineering and Product Development, to drive supply chain technology roadmaps and execute strategies that deliver best value for Meta. The roles require technical expertise, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills to influence infrastructure product strategy and drive technical innovation, high-quality standards, and cost savings via customized supply chains

Required Skills:

Technical Sourcing Manager, Advanced Thermal Technologies Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement domain strategies to optimize economic and supply risk outcomes for technology infrastructure

2. Influence internal product direction through data-driven results and technical expertise

3. Build and maintain indepth technical relationships with external partners, including suppliers and industry experts

4. Provide technical review and analysis of supplier proposals and RFQs, resolving queries and driving negotiations

5. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and perform competitive analysis to inform sourcing strategies

6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define future technology directions and roadmaps

7. Drive supplier technical process improvements to enhance quality, cost, and time-to-deployment

8. Represent the company at industry events and forums, and support product transfer from NPI to mass production

9. Possess technical depth and business acumen to drive industry-level change and optimize the economics and risk profile for Meta's hardware platforms

Minimum Qualifications:

10. BS in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field or equivalent combination of education

11. 12+ years of technical experience in engineering, product management, or supply chain organizations related to data center products, infrastructure, rack design, AI, Compute Hardware, or Mechanical Engineering

12. Proven experience building and maintaining technical relationships with executive management, including C-suite executives and industry leaders at suppliers or customers

13. Demonstrated understanding of technology roadmaps, including relevant supplier roadmaps and key workloads, with a proven pragmatic approach to influencing product roadmaps

14. Proven experience moving from strategy to execution and delivering tangible results

15. Interpersonal and communication skills, with experience influencing, negotiating, building consensus and making key strategic decisions

16. Experience in cross-functional and industry influence

17. 15+ years of technical experience in data center products or associated infrastructure-related industries

18. Experience with sustainability requirements

19. Familiarity with industry regulations and design standards

20. Experience with mechanical cooling technologies and associated system design trade-offs, particularly for AI and High Performance Computing (HPC) systems

21. Experience interfacing with internal and external partners in an entrepreneurial and cross-functional environment, requiring a latitude for independent judgment while coordinating people and technical resources

22. Experienced commodity management in high tech environment

23. Masters or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering

Public Compensation:

$204,000/year to $281,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
